Abuse of this drug is growing at an alarming rate, which has led the many television stations in Arizona to show the documentary, Crystal Darkness, on most channels simultaneously. Counselors and other professionals will be manning a hotline during and after to help anyone that calls in. The intention of this campaign is to educate the public, especially youths and their families, on the dangers of methamphetamine use. Crystal Darkness aims to help people realize the seriousness of this drug by telling the stories of addicts. The terrible effects of this drug are attacking our youth, families and the community as a whole. Many people feel that meth addiction threatens to tear our society apart and anyone that is addicted to meth or has a close friend or family member that is addicted knows just how devastating it is on everyone—especially the user. While the documentary is told through the stories of young people that have been through the scary and lonely place that is meth addiction, it is for everyone as our entire society is affected by it. Meth has torn families apart and cost tax payers significant amounts of money. The heart-wrenching tales of these young people are meant to serve as a warning for everyone: Don't try meth even once. ![]() Meth facts:
