I remember taking tests like this when i was court ordered into programs like DAAC (Drug and Alcohol Counseling) and lying on the test thinking that i was fooling the counselors and my parents meaning everyone would believe i was alright. In all honesty the only person i was truly lying to was myself, the denial i was in around my alcoholism and the unmanageability in my life was hurting no one but me, the counselors didnt have a bad day because i wouldn’t be honest with myself, they probably didnt think anything of it once i was done with the program. But the dishonesty i displayed with myself allowed my drinking and use to go on for much longer than it needed to, losing a lot of what i valued in life along the way. It makes me smile now looking at the test and being able to honestly say i answer yes to all 10 questions. It took what it took with me though to get to the point im at today, im happy with my life, my job, my friends, and myself thanks to the program of Alcoholics Anonymous! If anyone is reading this who has yet to take the test or somewhere inside of you knows that you omitted and didnt answer truthfully to some of the questions try taking it again in your or by yourself, be honest with it and if you dont want to share the answers with anyone dont do it, its for you to know and do with what you will.
