We idolize these child actors because they are cute and mature beyond their years. Well, I guess we know how he made his way into the spotlight, so don't be shocked or expect him to change.

If you wanted a goody-two shoes to be in Disturbia and Transformers, they would have lacked Leboouf's personality and charisma.

You can't separate the deep actor from the struggles that got him there.

You bring up an excellent point, Jack. Movie studios still hire actors, even if they are known to make poor decisions when off the set. If employers can check your MySpace account and your list of references to find out how you conduct yourself during your personal time, why don't movie studios and film producers hold stars accountable for their drug and alcohol problems by not hiring them? Wouldn't it be interesting to see what would happen if they did?

It is surprising how many teen stars have drug or alcohol problems. Actors such as Britney Spears and LaBeouf are continually on the covers of magazines and newspapers for yet again partying too much. In today's society it has become more and more acceptable for young adults to have durg/alcohol problems especially movie stars.

What I don't understand is why they continue to allow these stars produce films. Young adults and teens look up to these stars as role models. But the type of impression that they recieve is that using is okay and if you have money you will be able to get away with whatever you want. I do not for see anything changing in the future, I only hope that people will start holding these role models accountable for the impact that they have on their fans.
