Gatehouse hosts art show, sale

The Gatehouse Academy is hosting its bi-annual Art Show and Sale this Saturday (May 27) from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The show is titled “Expression” and has a lot to offer. Gatehouse is located at 145 West Wickenburg Way.

There will be nearly 250 original oil and acrylic paintings and pencil drawings as well as a number of original photographs, both in color and black and white. “We have seven featured artists on hand to explain their work” said art show producer and Gatehouse resident Zak H. “We will also be selling homemade goodies and cold beverages to make the afternoon a great event. Some of the residents will be performing music to create a pleasant atmosphere. We have worked for many months to make this event a success, and we are all very excited to host this art show.”

The seven featured artists include Ross G. from Connecticut, Rushton W. of California, Nathan K. from New Mexico, Bryce T. from Wyoming, Laura O. from Florida, and Nicole V. of California.

All proceeds will go directly to the artist or to upgrade the art program.
