Kate Rainaud- Women's Residential Director

Kate came to Gatehouse in August of 2005 as a resident.  She grew up in Connecticut, and began drinking and using drugs at the age of 14.  She attended college, until her using got to the point where she was asked to leave the school.  After getting fired from jobs, losing friends and relationships, and hurting herself and her family, she was sent to treatment for the first time at Gatehouse.  As a resident, she had the support of family, friends, and the entire Gatehouse community to help her through her struggles.  She commenced in August 2006, completed an internship, and is now part of the staff at the Ranch, where she can use her unique perspective on this program, as well as her experience, strength and hope to help the residents she works with.  Kate now has a life that is far better than she ever imagine, and she owes it to the 12 Steps and Gatehouse Academy.
