Edward Lacy
Ed is honored to have been selected as VP of Global Marketing for Gatehouse Academy. Ed brings almost 30 years of experience in the addictions and eating disorder treatment field where he has served both as clinician and administrator to treatment centers both nationally and internationally. As a retired U.S. Marine, Ed serviced as the Administrator of the U.S. Navy Drug and Alcohol Counselor School, Director of Curriculum, Australian Institute for Counseling in Addictions, was selected to start up Oceanica Alcohol and Drug Treatment program in Mazatlan, Mexico incorporating the Betty Ford Center model of treatment. Ed went on to build Avalon, Centro de Tratamiento para la Mujer, in Mexico City, and establish Avalon as Latin America’s first inpatient Drug, Alcohol, and eating disorder treatment center exclusively for women and their families. Ed is committed to keep Gatehouse Academy at the forefront of addictions treatment. Ed is married to the former Elsa Maria Lopez and has two sons, Simon 11 and Lucas 8.
