Jo Ann Bennett, M.S.
Jo Ann Bennett received her Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Dowling College, New York and her Masters of Science in Family Counseling from Iona College, New York. She did post graduate work at the Option Institute & Fellowship in Sheffield, Mass. where she studied The Option Dialogue Process of non-directive therapy. In addition to her work in private practice, she worked at Pilgrim State Hospital in New York and at Childhelp USA in Wickenburg, AZ. She is an EGALA certified equine therapist and incorporated equine therapy into her work with sexually abused children during her years at Childhelp. Jo Ann is a trained EMDR therapist and possesses a thorough working knowledge of the impact of addiction and substance abuse on the family and the young adult. She has worked as a staff therapist for Gatehouse Academy for the last 9 years.
