Kim is an extremely grateful recovering alcoholic and addict.  She has lived in Arizona for 15 years npw, but grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  She has one daughter who is a junior at ASU, she is the light of her life!

Kim first found out about Gatehouse Academy from seeing residents around in the community.  She was taken back by the wisdom and knowlegde Gatehouse Residents would share about their desease and Recovery  Kim knew she wanted to be a part of whatever it was these residents were doing.

Two years later Kim went to Gatehouse Acadamy's web site and inquired about a job. Within a month and a half she was a staff member.

In Kim's own words, "Gatehouse has helped me to grow in my own recovery which has guided me to discover my purpose in life. I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime, to be the Mother and the friend I wasn't capable of being to my own child."
