Before joining the Gatehouse Academy team Matt trained in Los Angeles, where he worked as an actor and taught classes for eight years. Matt Brown joined GatehouseAcademy in 2003. It was earlier in that same year that Matt was helped out of the depths of his own addiction and formed a relationship with the founders of the Gatehouse program. Since then, he has been given the opportunity to impact young lives here in a very positive way. Having worked as the Director of Admissions from 2004 through 2007, it is his firm resolution to help others recover from their own addiction and find happiness, joy and freedom in their lives. Matt gets this opportunity on a daily basis by working directly with several residents as a sponsor and mentor. In addition to facilitating all admissions, Matt works with families preadmission as well as throughout their sons or daughters stay.
