Began recovery process 20 years ago at the program which was the predecessor to Gatehouse. He has been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-anon over the last 19 plus years. He was a professional contractor most of his my adult life prior to joining Gatehouse and my post secondary education includes architectural drafting and business law. I am in the middle generation of a family with three generations in recovery and my daughter was an early Gatehouse resident who has close to ten years of sobriety now. This allows me to have a useful perspective on what it's like to have a child in recovery at Gatehouse and to relate not only to the residents but also to their families.
