Veronica Jeffus, M.A.
Veronica Jeffus, M.Ed., LASAC, received her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Pennsylvania State University. In the beginning of her career, Veronica held a number of progressively responsible positions in Administration and Marketing within the Behavioral Health Field. A personal "moment of clarity" caused her to re-evaluate her personal and professional goals, and in April 2004 Veronica joined the Gatehouse team as a staff therapist. Her theoretical framework comes from a Psychoanalytic (Freudian) perspective, having received her early training through the Pittburgh Psychoanalytic Institute. Over the years, Veronica has acquired skills in Hypnosis; Generational, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy; EMDR; and the treatment of Addictions. Veronica combines her professional training, experience, and maturity in working with her clients, and believes that the role of the therapist is to act as a guide in assisting the individual to become her or his best Self. Finally, Veronica sees the Twelve Step Model as the true path to Recovery, and embraces this program in both her professional and personal life.
