Tom Cuscia- Men's Residential Director
Tom was born and raised in Lawrence, MA a mill city 15 minutes north of Boston. He lived in that area from 1981 until 2005. Tom started using drugs at the age of 15. He steadily broke boundaries he had set and by the age of 21 he was spending upwards of $2,500 a week on his addiction- most of which he stole from his parents. He arrived at Gatehouse in March of 2005 and since that time has not taken a drink or used a drug. He has an open relationship with his family and owes much of this to the family workshops that he attended. "I owe all my success to Gatehouse and my Higher Power who gave me the tools needed to learn to live a sober life. This program taught me a life of integrity and servitude and for this I am forever grateful. Many thanks to my family for not giving up on me. Without their love, support, and ability to trust in this facility none of this could have happened." Tom gives back to the community by sponsoring residents, running big book studies, and sharing his experience, strength, and hope with our new residents.
